Denver Metro Regional Science and Engineering Fair at the University of Colorado Denver
February 16 & 18, 2018
Six students from the DMRSEF competed at the 2018 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. There were nearly 1,800 young scientists selected from 420 affiliate fairs in 81 countries, regions, and territories.
DMRSEF is proud of our top winners:
Edwin Bodoni was awarded First Place and Best in Category (Translational Medicine) for his research project titled, “Bruxism: A Novel Diagnostic Approach.“
Krithik Ramesh was awarded First Place (Engineering Mechanics) for his research project titled, “Suppression of Aeroelastic Instabilities in High-Ratio Wings Using Principle Component Analysis.”
Peyton Leyendecker was awarded Second Place (Microbiology) for her research project titled, “Optimizing the Ratios of Manuka Honey to Adhesive in an Antibacterial Surgical Adhesive.”
Evelyn Bodoni and Nicole Hankovszky were awarded Fourth Place (Biomedical and Health Sciences) for their research project titled, “Novel Strategies for Detecting and Treating podocyte Injury in Diabetic Nephropathy.”
